Online Registration and Online Activation
To borrow media from the Central Library and many other decentralised libraries of the University of Münster, you need a library card. For students of the University of Münster the student ID card (activated once) serves as a library card, for all other persons the library card is issued by the ULB. You can activate your student ID card or apply for a ULB library card in just a few steps. Please select which of the following three groups of persons you belong to:
Students of the University of Münster (with student ID card)
You have received your student ID card - whether it is your first card after successful enrolment or a replacement card (e.g. in case of loss) - and would like to have it activated for use in the ULB? Then you have come to the right place. All you need is your University ID to identify yourself for the activation process and your student ID card:

Persons with University ID (especially University of Münster employees)
Do you have an University ID? This is especially true if you are an employee of the University of Münster. This ID is also the key to your new library account. At the beginning of the registration process, you will identify yourself with your University ID, after which you will be guided through the rest of the registration process:

Other persons (without University ID)
You do not have an University ID? This applies in particular if you are neither studying nor employed at the University of Münster. The ULB will issue you with a library card in a straightforward manner. Start the registration process here:
