Library card

Minors only receive a library card of the ULB with the consent from the legal guardians. - Authority – collection of an ULB library card
Persons authorised to collect another person's library card must present a written authority. - Confirmation of scientist status
The special conditions for academic staff are also granted to persons without a corresponding employment contract who are academically active for Münster University to a significant extent (e.g. private lecturers, guest researchers, project staff after the end of a project), if their institute certifies this.
Loan
- Request for the transfer of the loan authorisation
As a researcher at Münster University, you would like to instruct a student assistant or a member of staff to borrow books from the ULB for you? Then fill out this form and send it to the lending desk of the Central Library. A prerequisite for the transfer of the loan authorisation is that the authorised person has their own library account. - Authority – borrowing of books and media
You would like to authorise someone to borrow books from the ULB for you? Then fill out this authorisation; the authorised person must show the authorisation every time he/she borrows a book from the ULB. This authorisation is also valid if the authorised person does not have their own library account. - Loss and damage report for books/media
Please fill out this form completely and submit it to the University and State Library either- by personal delivery at the loan desk of the library where you borrowed the book/medium, or

Interlibrary loan
- Form for international interlibrary loan
Please enter the details of the required document and the declaration of cost coverage. (The entered data is automatically transferred to the following page.) Then print the document and sign it in the appropriate fields on the pages 2 and 3. Please do not enter any handwritten comments or additions in the form! Please hand in both pages (2 and 3) at the information desk of the ULB Münster together with the interlibrary loan ticket of the national interlibrary loan (does not apply when ordering academic theses from Austria and France). - Confirmation of loss events for an interlibrary loan order
In order to place an interlibrary loan for a book or a journal issue that is – contrary to the information provided in the DigiBib – no longer available in the institute (exclusive possession), please hand in the loss statement of the institute at the information desk of the Central Library. The corresponding form must be fully completed. The interlibrary loan will then be carried out for you on the basis of the usual conditions.
