25.7.–31.7.: Ausleih-Services und Bibliothekskonto nicht verfügbar

English version below

25.7.–31.7.: No borrowing/returning of books and no access to your library account

Starting on Monday, 25.7., all ULB lending services in the (ULB) Central Library, the Medical Branch Library, Social Sciences Branch Library, the Library of the Institute of Educational Science and Communication Science, and the Centre for Dutch Studies will stop for one week. For the changeover to a new technical system, all user data from the current system will be "frozen" during this last week of July, so that borrowing, returning, renewals, fee payments and accessing your library account via the ULB catalogue will not be possible. Changing address data, creating new library cards and activating student cards will no longer be possible as early as Monday, July 18.
By the way: There will be no loan period endings from 25.7. to 31.7., so you will not need to renew any loans during this time.

Our libraries will remain open as usual this week, and all library services beyond print borrowing and the library account will remain available:

  • media available on site in the libraries
  • workspaces and technical infrastructure (copiers, scanners)
  • online services (searching for literature in disco, databases, accessing ebooks and other electronic ressources)

As of Monday, 1.8., presumably 12:00 noon, all services will be relaunched in a new look. We look forward to welcoming the new search interface KatalogPlus, which will replace both disco and ULB catalog – we say "goodbye" to both search tools, thanking them for many years of service! Your library account will then also get a new look in KatalogPlus as well as additional functions.

You can find an overview over what will change from 1 August on the central information page. To make your account and perhaps your watch lists ready for the change please check the page "What can you prepare in advance?".
