Neue Verlagsabkommen zum Open-Access-Publizieren

Mit Jahresbeginn wurden einige neue Transformationsverträge wirksam. Ziel dieser Rahmenverträge mit namhaften Verlagen ist der kostenneutrale Wandel der Finanzierung wissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften von einer abonnementbasierten zu einer publikationsbasierten Finanzierung. Außerdem beinhaltet diese Transformation den konsequenten Umstieg auf Open Access als Veröffentlichungsform.
Die Bandbreite der Vorteile für Wissenschaftler*innen der WWU, die in diesen Zeitschriften als Corresponding oder Submitting Author publizieren, reicht von der Rabattierung von Artikelbearbeitungsgebühren bis zur zentralen Abrechnung über die ULB.
Fachbereiche und Bibliothek haben sich auf neue Abkommen mit diesen Verlagen verständigt:
Die bereits bestehenden Verträge mit DeGryuter, Cogitatio Press und der Electrochemical Society wurden bis Ende 2023 bzw. 2024 verlängert.
New agreements for open access publishing
With the beginning of the year some new transformative agreements have become active. These agreements with renowned publishers aim at bringing about the change from subscription- to publication-based financing of scientific journals in a cost-neutral manner. In addition, this transformative process includes the consistent switch to open access as form of publication.
The advantages for researchers affiliated with the University of Münster who publish as corresponding or submitting authors in these journals range from discounts on article processing charges to central invoicing via the library.
The university's departments and the library have decided to conclude agreements with the following publishing houses:
The existing agreements with DeGryuter, Cogitatio Press, and the Electrochemical Society have been extended until the end of 2023 or 2024.
