In AMIR find­en Sie Hin­weise auf Daten­banken, bib­li­ographis­che Infor­ma­tio­nen und Voll­texte zur Geschichte, Sprache, Kul­tur, Lit­er­atur und poli­tis­chen Sit­u­a­tion der Län­der des Nahen und Mit­tleren Ostens und Nordafrikas.

This project began as a con­se­quence of a series of con­ver­sa­tions in 2010 between Charles Jones and Peter Magier­s­ki at NYU about the need for a tool to assem­ble and dis­trib­ute infor­ma­tion on open access mate­r­i­al relat­ing to the Mid­dle East.

It uses Jones‘ Ancient World Online (AWOL) as a mod­el.

We wel­come and encour­age active par­tic­i­pa­tion and will add inter­est­ed par­ties to the authors‘ list upon request.
